1895年にイタリア人の靴職人がパリに創業し、1993年よりLVMHグループによって所有されている「Berluti（ベルルッティ）」。ご存知だろうか？現在では、伝統とモダンが融合したトータルメンズウェアのファッションハウスとして高く評価されている。そんな「ベルルッティ銀座店」が11月16日にオープンした。約430平米、3フロアからなる店舗は、1・2階が既製品、3階はシューズ、服のオーダーサロンとベルルッティの世界観を堪能できる空間となっている。
洗練された紳士の足下を装ってきたベルルッティ。2011年にはアレッサンドロ・サルトリがアーティステック・ディレクターに就任し、レディ・トゥ・ウェアの部門に進出している。ブランドのヘリテージを忠実に守りつつ、アレッサンドロ・サルトリがクラシックを再定義。
また、銀座メゾンのオープンを記念してベルルッティが誇る独自の染色であるパティーヌを施した、”レインボー” カラーの限定商品をDOVER STREET MARKET GINZAにて12月1日より発売予定。

Well heeled Tokyo gentlemen are welcomed to the newly opened Ginza Flagship of French Luxury Goods House Berluti by the robot pictured above. Shoemakers of the highest standard since 1895, the House’s off-beat classicism eschews showy style for untempered luxury making Ginza the perfect place for the 3 floor store which includes ready to wear, bags, leather goods and accessories. Berluti’s core values are ‘know-how, tradition, innovation and authenticity’ and innovative thinking is very much part of Berluti’s expansion here in Japan as an exclusive capsule collection with Dover Street Market Ginza will coincide with the House’s new Tokyo location.
Berluti’s craftsmanship has been appreciated by stylish gentleman from Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra to Warhol, the latter having a namesake ‘The ‘Andy’, a custom-made loafer designed for the Pop Artist in 1962 which remains popular to this day. Over a century of expertise is now overseen by Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori under whom Berluti produces immaculate ready-to-wear collections.
