2009年6月1日、日本ファッション・エディターズ・クラブ（Fashion Editors Club of Japan. FEC）主催の第52回FEC賞贈賞式が都内某所で開催された。FECインターナショナル・デザイナー・オブ・ザ・イヤーにグッチのクリエイティブ・ディレクター、フリーダ・ジャンニーニが受賞しこの日のために日本上陸。輝かしい授賞式の後はドアビッチのいる青山のLe Baron de Paris Tokyo。フリーダを一目見ようと会場は既に満員状態。バブル時代到来と言わんばかりのジュリアナサウンドにエレクトロ、ヒップホップとDJ陣が会場を盛り上げる。終盤、フリーダ本人までもがDJブースに入り込み多くのファッションニスタと特別な一夜を祝福。
Monday night in Tokyo and Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini took to the dance floor in Le Baron De Paris Tokyo with the Tokyo Town club kids. Shimas Yuya Nara and Sachiko, Verbal (M-flo/Teriyaki Boyz) and Yoon, Baby Mary (Faline) with Kenji (Bambi Boyz) and Mademoiselle Yulia all took turns to DJ whilst guests including Matsumoto Jun from Arashi, Morimoto Yoko, Photographer Mika Ninangawa, Nomiya Maki, model Tominaga Ai, photographer Mark ‘The Cobrasnake’ and Crystal Kay got down on the dance floor.
Earlier in the evening Giannini had picked up the international designer of the year award from the Japanese Fashion Editors Club (FEC). Gucci glamour went down a storm in Le Baron and a memorable night was had by all.
Congratulations to Frida for her award and thanks to GUCCI and Le Baron for such a great night.
