コンテンポラリーアーティスト名和晃平の個展「FORCE」が、3月7日より谷中のSCAI THE BATHHOUSEにて開催されている。3Dテクノロジーや科学的アプローチ、現代彫刻と新たな可能性に挑む1人のアーティスト。2012年ディオールのアイコンバックであるレディディオールとのコラボレーションも記憶に新しい（こちら）。
質的に計算された液体と重力の関係性によって展開されている本展は、インスタレーション作品＜Force＞（2015年）、黒いオイルの筋が雨のように天地垂直に流れ、床面に溜まって黒い池を形成する。動粘度を調整されたシリコーンオイルは、液状化した彫刻のように固体と液体の特性をを曖昧にしながら、一定方向に高速で流れ続ける。
そんな彼のペインティングシリーズ「Direction」からインスピレーションを得たクリエイティブ・ディレクター前田華子による「ADEAM（アディアム）」の2015/16年秋冬コレクションが、今週の金曜日東京コレクションで発表する。

Contemporary Artist Kohei Nawa brings his ‘FORCE’ to Tokyo’s unique Scai The Bathhouse Gallery space. Nawa’s work questions the ever uncertain grasp of reality in the digital information age.
This, the Artists third solo exhibition with the gallery, unfolds as a constant flow of liquid through the law of gravity. In the installation Force (2015), streams of black oil fall like rain to form a thick puddle on the floor. After carefully engineering its viscosity in the studio.
In conversation with ADEAM Designer Hanako Maeda in her studio in Tokyo yesterday, Nawa’s work came up as a source of inspiration for the brands Autumn/Winter 2015 collection. The Artists ‘Direction’ series inspires rhythmic, monochrome patterns throughout the collection which shows this Friday during Tokyo Fashion Week. We live for this kind of synergy between fashion and art.
