DAZEDの創設者でAnOther Magazine編集長を務めるジェファーソン・ハックのクリエイティブマインド。5月にロンドンでローンチされてからいよいよここ東京でも。1992年にスタートしたデイズドのアーカイブ作品から中国の現代美術家アイ・ウェイウェイ（艾未未）、アレキサンダー・マックイーンらのインタビュー、創刊時から共に活動してきたランキン（DAZED共同創設者/フォトグラファー）、ティルダ・スウィントン（女優）、ダグラス・クープランド、ビョーク（アーティスト）とのコラボレーション、25年に渡るジェファーソンの経験が詰まった集大成、そう、1人では作り上げることのできない貴重な宝箱のような一冊。
Jefferson Hack, the visionary Publisher and Editor behind DAZED and ANOTHER Magazines, is in Tokyo this week to launch his book ‘We Can’t Do This Alone: Jefferson Hack the System’. The tome is a journey through Jefferson’s unique 25 year experience as an independent Publisher. It includes contributions from Photographer (and DAZED co-founder) Rankin, Tilda Swinton, Douglas Coupland, Björk. True to Hack’s style, the books approach is forward thinking rather than nostalgic. The quote “that everyone is media, that everyone has the ability to effect change and affect consciousness.” speaks volumes of having a valid voice in the era of mas communications.
Limited to 5,000 copies – each and every cover of the book is unique. A feat achievable through a collaboration with publishers Rizzoli and KODAK.
