6月2日 ファッション・デザイナー・オブ・アメリカの授賞式がニューヨークの公共図書館（New York Public Library）で開かれた。今年度のウーマンズウェア・デザイナー・オブ・ザ・イヤーには「カルバン・クライン（Calvin Klein）」のフランシスコ・コスタが、、メンズウェア・デザイナー・オブ・ザ・イヤーには「トム・フォード（Tom Ford）」が輝いた。マーク・ジェイコブス（Mark Jacobs）は惜しくも賞を逃したが、ヴィクトリア・ベッカム（Victoria Beckham）と共に会場に現れた。ヴィクトリアは、勿論マークがデザインしたハートモチーフのドレスを身にまとっていた。他、出席者:エヴァ・ロンゴリア/エヴァ・メンデス/マギー・ギレンホール/LLクールJ/アシュレー・オルセン/ラルフローレン/アンナ・ウィンター/ナオミ・キャンベル/リルキム etc…
Awards were held at the New York Public library. The main awards went to Francisco Costa (Calvin Klein) for women’s designer of the year and Tom Ford for men’s. Victoria Beckham attended the event on the arm of Marc Jacobs who had designed her dress. Also present were Eva’s Longoria and Mendes, Maggie Gyllenhaal, LL Cool J, Ashley Olsen, Ralph Lauren, Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell and Lil Kim.
