本日オープンの「3.1 phillip lim」ブランドとして世界初のポップアップバー「The ALTER FOR SUB-CULTURE」が渋谷の街に登場。2012年秋冬コレクションのテーマであるルードボーイ、スエードヘッズ、ブートボーイなど自分のスタイルを貫き通す男たちに捧げます … とのこと。オープン前日（7月18日）デザイナー、フィリップ・リムを迎えローンチパーティーが開催されたほか、結成30年以上もの歴史を持つ「BLACK SHADOW」のメンバーによる貴重なライブパフォーマンス。黒のライダースに、目を止めてしまう懐かしのリーゼント。
会場内（SUNDAY ISSUE）には、クロス（十字架）のインテリアにテーブルと、チャーチ（協会）をイメージしたニューヨークならではの雰囲気。並べられたお酒はルードボーイにぴったしのウイスキー、ジン、ビール、ペルがズラリ。ルードなお酒を味わってみるべし。

The smell of pomade, Pernod and perspiration hung heavy in the air at Sunday Issue last night for the opening of the 3.1 PHILLIP LIM pop-up bar ‘THE ALTER FOR SUB-CULTURE’. The packed crowd, including Elli-Rose and Jessica Michibata (both wearing 3.1 PHILLIP LIM) and Nara Yuya (in a Fall 2012 PHILLIP LIM riders jacket) alongside Julie Roche and Joe (Tokyo Dandy) below. Gui Martinez (JAGR MAGAZINE) set the tone with a rock infused play list before the quiffed and coiffed guys from BLACK SHADOW cut through the mass of people to dance infront the neon cross-lit bar. The designer himself put in an appearance but was lost to us in the crowd inside as we escaped the storm outside on what was a steamy Tokyo Summer night.
