恵比寿ガーデンルームで行われたBAJOWOOが手がける「99%IS-（ナインティナインパーセントイズ」2016年春夏コレクションのお披露目。デザイナー自らが登場したオープニングの映像。大胆にもチェーンソーでまっぷたつに切裂いた衣服たち。あえてダメージを加え、ダイナミックに痛み付け、爆発という始末。そんな今シーズンのテーマは「YORTSED」。レッドカーペットを歩く挑発的なモデルたちは、2015/16年秋冬シーズンでコラボしたスペインのシューズブランド「CAMPER（カンペール）」のパーツをフェイスマスクに。得意のパンクスタイルをベースにカスタムされたライダースにカットソーたち。映像の爆破シーンをiPhoneで撮影した中盤の炎ルック。
99%IS’s Bajowoo debuted his Spring/Summer 2016 collection ‘YORTSED’ at Ebisu Garden Room a week after the end of Tokyo’s Official Fashion Week. This was a nod to the DIY approach being taken in the clothes themselves – bullet strew denim and leather jackets dissected by chain saw before stitched back together to create American/British hybrid riders jackets. A film made to showcase this destructive approach to creation was an explosive start to proceedings (see the show movie below), the subsequent energy created somewhat lost in the slow pace of the models snaking along the red carpet runway. Their careful steps taken in 99%IS x CAMPER footwear, this night was a joint celebration of the collaboration. Katsuya Kamo’s creations added some drama, the hair and make-up artist has worked on each of 99%IS shows thus far and his leather masks added some drama. Plenty here to keep Harajuku punks and K-Pop Prince’s happy.
