エディトリアルはもちろん、ロエベ、JWアンダーソン、アレキサンダー・マックイーンと数多くのキャンペーンビジュアルを手掛けるイギリス出身の写真家「ジェイミー・ホークスワース」が、初となる作品集「PRESTON BUS STATION」の刊行を記念してサイン会を開催する。
Photographer Jamie Hawkesworth is in Japan this weekend singing copies of his book ‘Preston Bus Station’. The tome is set in the brutalist Preston bus station where upon hearing of impending demolition, Hawkesworth spent a month photographing the characters ho passed though the brutalist 1960’s era building.
イギリス・プレストンに在住していた2010年、ブルータリズム様式建築によるバスターミナル「プレストン・バスステーション」に目を奪われ、本作のプレジェクトがスタート。通学中の青年たち、通りすがりのティネイジャー、変わったヘアスタイルの若者、7年の月日をかけ本作が完成。
The resulting book has been published in a limited run of 2000 copies by Dashwood Books. Jamie will be at DSM Ginza on the 24th and Daikanayama Tsutaya on the 25th where you’ll be able to get copies signed.
