ニューヨークの街角を闊歩するオーバー60’ の7人の女性を取り上げたエネルギッシュでスタイリッシュなドキュメンタリー映画「アドバスト・スタイル そのファッションが、人生（Advanced Style）」が、5月29日より公開される。TOKYODANDYと同じ年の2008年にスタートしてシニア層限定にした視点の転換と、彼女たちが披露する超個性的なスタイルが注目を浴び、アクセス数が急上昇。仕掛人は、サンディエゴからマンハッタンにやってきた現在33歳のアリ・セス・コーエン。伝説的な81歳ダンサー、有名ブティックオーナー80歳、93歳アーティストと個性豊かでパワフルかつファッションを純粋に楽しみ彼女たち。
Released internationally in 2012/2013 depending on region, ADVANCED STYLE is a documentary that examines the lives of seven unique New Yorkers aged 62 to 95 whose eclectic personal style and vital spirit have guided their approach to aging. The film takes its name from the Advanced Style blog, a domain that creator Ari Seth Cohen dedicates “to capturing the sartorial savvy of the senior set.” He says, “I feature people who live full creative lives. They live life to the fullest, age gracefully and continue to grow and challenge themselves.”
The film is finally getting a Tokyo release from 5/29 at select TOHO movie theaters.
