写真やグラフィティなどと様々なアートの愛好家としても知られる「アニエスベー（agnès b）」。目に止まったのは、アニエスベー青山店のショーウィンドウ。
フリーのイラストレータとして活躍する「SHOHEI OTOMO」（アーカイブ作品はコチラ！）。アニメやグラフィックアート、時にはボールペンで描いたメッセージ性の強いイラストがどこか衝撃的で見入ってしまう。アーカイブを見ていると「日本」をテーマにした作品が多くみられる。2011年発足の「ART FACADE PROJECT」は、様々なアーティストが旗艦店であるアニエスベー青山店とアニエスベー ボヤージュ表参道店のファサードをキャンバスに見立てデザインするアニエスベーのアートなプロジェクト。
Walking through Aoyama a few nights ago we couldn’t help but notice this fantastic illustrated store front. ‘Maiden From The Far East’ by Shohei (Shohei Otomo – see more of his amazing work on his website here) is part of Agnès B Japan’s ‘Art Facade Project’. Since it’s inception in 2011 has decorated store exteriors in collaboration with a multitude of artists. Agnès B is a longstanding lover of The Arts (she was one of photographer Ryan McGinley’s early patrons). This project takes art away from regular collaboration formats (such as T-shirts) and places it back in the street more in line with the concept of graffiti.
