先日2009年度CFDA（Council of Fashion Designers of America）アワードにノミネートされたデザイナーが発表された。毎年恒例行事となったCFDAは、ノミネートされたデザイナーのアイテムをモデルに着せてイメージを紹介していたが、今回はいつもと違った写真を企画。フォトグラファーは、クレイグ・マクディーン（Craig McDean）、スタイリングには、カール・テンプラー（Karl Templer）らが担当。そう、今回はデザイナー本人に自身のブランドを着せ、今までとは違ったかたちでの紹介。一番目にいってしまうマーク・ジェイコブス（Marc Jacobs）のルックは、マドンナも使用していたあのバニーイヤールックだ。（右写）。また、若手デザイナーには先日来日していたアレキサンダー・ワン（Alexander Wang）と、ジェイソン・ウー（Jason Wu）らが初のノミネート。
In a promotional shoot with photographer Craig McDean designers Alexander wang, Jason Wu and Marc Jacobs donned their own creations, including a ball gown and some bunny ears. The designers are amongst the nominees for ‘designer of the year’ at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) which is seen by many as Americas ‘fashion Oscars’.
