9月10日、「アレキサンダー・ワン」2017年春夏コレクションがニューヨークコレクションにて発表され、同会場では「アディダス オリジナルス by アレキサンダーワン」の世界初公開となる夢のプロジェクトがお披露目された（#WANGFEST）。フロントロウには、マドンナと娘のローデス、パメラ・アンダーソン、カイリー・ジェンナー、ゾーイ・クラヴィッツ、ヤング・サグ、ニッキー・ミナージュ、そして、ルックブック撮影を手がけたユルゲン・テラーの姿も。「Pier94」をヴェニューに工業サイズの照明、クレーン、7-ELEVENのテキーラバーと会場は大規模。
同会場で開催されたアフターパーティーでは、ジェシー・マルコのDJプレイほか、ワンのスピーチで登場したCL（2NE1）がパフォーマンスを披露。ほかにもフェティ・ワップ（ラッパー）やデザイナー（ラッパー）、タイガ（ラッパー）、そして、スクリレックス（DJ）とトラビス・スコットも登場。「SHIBUYA」がテーマだった2014年のアフターパーティーが懐かしすぎる（こちら）。
また、「アディダス オリジナルス by アレキサンダーワン」のコレクションは、9月17日よりここ東京でも発売がスタートし、都内を回るポップアップトラックがメインエリアに登場。
Alexander Wang didn’t simply present his Spring/Summer 2017 collection on Saturday night – he used the occasion to announce his collaboration with adidas in an epic #WANGFEST celebration. The energy was already high at Pier 94, with Madonna and daughter Lourdes on the front row, the show began with industrial sized lighting and crane rigs capturing the Neo-LA beach collection for the audience online. Before the designer took his bow, a surveillance video utilising the non-disclosure contracts used to tease the show in the days before hand announced the collab’. A truck at the top of the runway moved to the side to reveal the WANG FEST afterparty site with pop-up Mc Donald’s a 7-11 and tequila bars. Merch’ was sold literally out of the back of trucks. Wang’s parties have become the de facto big night out of New York Fashion week, and the whole thing was overwhelming – what could be more iconic than Madonna and Mc Donald’s in NYC? Kylie Jenner, Pamela Anderson, Zoe Kravitz, Young Thug, Nicki Minaj, Photographer Juergen Teller and more dodged slurpy-wielding models and Editors laden with looted swag from the 7-11. After a DJ set by Jesse Marco, Wang took to the stage to announce the start of the nights performances with CL, after which the names kept coming – FETTY WAP, DESIIGNER, TYGA, SKRILLEX with Travis Scott brining things to a close at 3am (At 6 hours from show start to party finish, this was all just 2 hours longer than the YEEZY Season 4 ‘experience’.)
