フォトグラファー、スティーブン・マイゼルによって撮影された「バレンシアガ（BALENCIAGA）」の2012/13年秋冬キャンペーン。あえて作り込まれたセット撮影。ランウェイ同様レイヤー術はキャンペーンでも登場。バレンシアガと言えば、毎シーズン新しいスタイルが飛び込んでくる。ボリューミーなトレーナーに襟元のフリル。カットやキャスティングはもちろんバランスが素晴らしい。なんだか、アメリカのテレビドラマ「スタートレック（Star Trek）」のハイファッションエピソードでも観ているようだ。
Steven Meisel photographed models Anniek Kortleve, Julier Bugge, Juliet Ingleby, Linn Arvidson, Sophie Hirschfelder & Rosie Tapner on a studio based sand dune set for Balenciaga’s Fall 2012 campaign. The obviously fake set combined with this seasons collection leads to a rather unbalanced contrast which rests perfectly with Balencaiga’s brand identity. It’s almost an alien landscape, a high fashion episode of Star Trek, the only slight kitsch being the vintage tour like prints on two tops.
