2010/11年秋冬では社会に逆らうようなコレクションを見せつけたBANAL CHIC BIZARRE（バナル・シック・ビザール）が、2011年春夏コレクションを発表。元々ファッションにルールなんてものはないのだが、少し前まではメンズがスカートを履くこと自体おかしなことと思われていただろう。がしかし、2011年を迎えようとしている今、スカートにレギンスという組み合わせをよく見掛ける。それはさておき、バイク用のフルフェイスを被って登場したモデルたちは、「TEAMER（チーマー）」をテーマにメンズのみのコレクションを披露。なんだか、中学1年の頃を思い出してしまった。
Banal Chic Bizarre showed their mens S/S 2011 collection this week in Yoyogi 1st Gymnasium which was utilized for various shows and exhibitions throughout fashion week.
Taking place on a steep roadway running into the arena, the show started with the huge door opening and billowing out smoke. The first of the motorcycle helmet clad models made their way down the runway in dramatic style, it must have been difficult striding back up again in the healed shoes which are becoming a trademark of BCB’s gender bending shows. It was quite dark and difficult to make out individual pieces during the show, more ‘looks’ which were shown in quite a random order. There were some great knit items such as tassled sweat shirts, a poncho and a sleeveless vest which may have been better being shown together in succession.
