時代の流れのなかで、若者たちのファッションに変化をもたらすブーム（その時代の）。1970年代後半〜80年代前半にかけて一世を風靡したユニークな「○○○族」をご存知だろうか。そう、当時の若者たちが原宿のホコ天（歩行者天国）に集まり、アラベスクやジンギスカンのサウンドに合わせて輪になりながら踊っていた「竹の子族」集団。独特な衣装とダンスで何万人もの見物客を集め社会現象になるまでに。そんな「竹の子族」や「ローラー族」にフィーチャした＿＿イギリス出身バンド、ダヴズ（Doves）のメンバーであるジェズとアンディ・ウィリアムズの兄弟による新プロジェクト「Black Rivers」のミュージックビデオ「Age of Innocence」をチェックするべし。
BLACK RIVERS consists of Jez & Andy Williams, two thirds of The (currently on hiatus) Doves. The video for their track ‘AGE OF INNOCENCE’ uses footage from Wim Wenders’ classic 80’s documentary ‘Tokyo-Ga’, the RAW feel and frenetic pace of the track a perfect fit for Yoyogi Park’s Rockabilly Dancers. A timeless sound. The guys in the video are so young! I’m pretty sure a couple of them are probably the dancers that still gather on a weekend there to this day.
