10月30日（木）から開催されてるアートフェアに、クリストフ・コパンス（Christophe Coppens）が参加。デザイナー本人も日本に滞在してて、The Table という食器シリーズのインスタレーションを開催。デザイナーのクリストフ・コンパスはベルギー在住で、1991年から帽子のデザインを始め、劇作法（ドラマ）を学んできた。劇場戯のために、帽子、スカーフ、コサージュ、ブラウス等衣装を手掛けてきた。そして、つい先日発刊された VOGUE HOMMES JAPAN の表紙でモデルの、アッシュ・スタイメストが首からぶら下げてたネックレスもクリストフ・コパンスがデザインしたものだ。とても気さくでフレンドリーな彼のクリエイションを生で体感できるのは今だけ。

Designer and artist Christopher Coppens is participating in the H.P. France Art festival currently being held in Aoyama. An installation piece of his tableware collection, “The Table”, is in the shop window and on October 30th Coppens took part in a live paint in the interior of the store which is open to the public from today. The designer became famous for his hat creations, sported by Belgian Royalty, as well as scarves, accessories, corsages. Coppens most instantly recognizable recent work was the necklace worn by Ash on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan.
It was great being able to watch him at work last night, and we look forward to going back to the store in Aoyama to see the finished room soon.
