レオナルド・ディカプリオ主演で2000年に公開された「The Beach」の原作者でご存知、アレックス・ガーランドによる初監督新作SF映画「EX MACHINA」公開間近！
本作「EX MACHINA（エクス・マキナ）」は、若いコンピューター・プログラマーが、世界最大ともいえる大企業の依頼である研究に携わる予定が、実は彼自身がアンドロイド（人工知能）をめぐる実験の被験者になっていたというとても興味深いストーリー。主演には、「スター・ウォーズ エピソード７」への出演が決まっているオスカー・アイザックにドーナル・グリーソン。アンドロイド役には、スウェーデン出身の注目の女優アリシア・ヴィキャンデルが出演。さらに、もう1人のアンドロイドには、日本でも活躍するモデルのソノヤが出演。
EX MACHINA is the Directorial debut of Alex Garland whose Novels and Screenplays include The Beach, 28 Days Later and Sunshine. It tells the story of a computer coder who wins the chance to spend a week at the house in the mountains belonging to the CEO of the company he works for, only to find he has to participate in an experiment involving a new brand of artificial intelligence. The trailer (below) exudes a beautifully cinematic meeting of high technology and natural aesthetics. One of the most highly anticipated Sci-Fi releases of the year, it’s also the screen debut of British/Japanese model Sonoya Mizuno. The Royal Ballet School allum, still on the roster of model agency IMAGE, is introduced as a technologically superior replacement of the main android (played by Alicia Vikander). We eagerly wait a Japanese release date.
