京都を拠点に活動するフラワーアーティストTAKAYA氏の写真展「MEN」が、昨日24日より西麻布のGallery le-bainにて開催されている（詳しくはコチラ！）。オープニング当日には、アーティスト自身が登場しライブパフォーマンスを披露。展示された写真では、日本人はもちろん、黒人や白人と色んな人種の男性モデルを起用し、それぞれの肉体美とTAKAYA氏によるヘッドドレスがとても独創的で、まさに「考えることはせず、肌で感じさせてもらった」。是非足を運んでみるべし。
Floral Hair Dresser TAKAYA performed at the opening of a photographic exhibition of his works at Le Bain Gallery in Tokyo last night. The ‘MEN’ exhibition (which we introduced here) focuses on the work Takaya has produced with male models, cutting and styling flowers to combine hair and floral displays as a unique art form. The aroma of flowers hung heave in the air as Takaya demonstrated his art form for the crowd of attendees last night, taking flowers from a bunch being held by a model, the resulting style was somewhat Frida Kahlo-esque. Takaya’s MEN exhibition runs through until June 29th.
