It’s the ‘ASIA’ issue of V MAGAZINE, so it would have been nice to have seen an Asian on the cover. Instead we have GAGA, in Mugler shot by Inez and Vinoodh. It’s another great cover for the GAGA, I sometimes wish there was a bit more time between all these covers to build more of a sense of anticipation. The Lady has written her first column for this issue and also had time to release a new single this week, ‘The Edge of Glory’, a stomping 80’s style power ballad that differs from her recent releases, listen to it HERE. We’re looking forward to seeing the content of this new issue of V.
Me and Joe watched the HBO Monster Ball special this week. It was a true pop spectacle, punctuated by a few too many monologues. The black and white backstage footage with color concert footage was pure ‘In Bed With Madonna’, we don’t want to make comparisons it’s just really difficult not to. GAGA really came alive in the finale singing ‘Born This Way’, it’s then you remember she’s been on the road for two years singing the same material. I hope after her album release this May she gets a Summer holiday.
