リカルドの後を引き継ぐ、「GIVENCHY」の新アーティスティック・ディレクター、クレア・ワイト・ケラーが手がけるクチュールのお披露目「WORLD TOUR IN TOKYO」が開催された。
フランス大使公邸をヴェニューに、GIVENCHY のロゴを施した輪投げやヨーヨーと、日本のお祭りコンテンツで来場者をおもてなし。会場には、デザイナーのクレア・ワイト・ケラーとリリー・コリンズなども来日し、フランス国外初となる新生 GIVENCHY を披露。春の庭の月明かり、シャンパングラス（モエ・エ・シャンドン）を片手に、PELIが奏でるディスコサウンド、Young Juvenile Youth のライブパフォーマンス、そして豪華花魁（ドラッグ）クイーンとの優雅なひと時。窓越しに見える庭園には、ライトアップされた桜と GIVENCHY の文字が光り輝いていた。
Givenchy Artistic Director Clare Waight Keller welcomed us into the residence and gardens of the French Embassy in Tokyo last night for a ‘GIVENCHY WORLD TOUR” party. Waitstaff in white dinner jackets poured Moët as guests enjoyed traditional Japanese games staffed by an eclectic cast in oiran drag. After a performance from Young Juvenile Youth, many including Generations from Exile Tribe’s Shiramhama Alan & Ryuta Kazuhara, Models Chiharu Okunugi, Elli-Rose and Maggie joined young party goers and VIP customers in the garden to enjoy the last of the seasons cherry blossoms. As well as welcoming Waight Keller as Artistic Director, the evening was intended to showcase the Givenchy SS18 couture collection. It was difficult to get complimentary images of the clothes in the space they were in, so we’ve included a video of the presentation below.
