東京ドーム ローラースケート会場にて発表した「G.V.G.V.」2018年秋冬コレクション。
20周年という素晴らしい月日を迎える今シーズンは、サイケデリックやオプティカルムードに包まれたデザイナーMUGの脳内クリエイティビティ。チェッカーボードにサイケデリックな黒と白のストライプからフローラル、そして、HYSTERIC GLAMOUR や グラフィックアーティストのフランク・ゴシックとのコラボで90’s要素をふんだんに取り入れたGVカルチャー。「FOR YANKEE GIRL, THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT」とプリントされたキャッチ（アイテム）フレーズは、立ち上がりのマストアイテム入りに違いない。
GVGV had us all heading over to Suidobashi and Tokyo Dome’s Roller Skate rink for their FW18 showing. Being a late night (9.45pm) start time and in the knowledge it was the brands 20th Anniversary there was a lot of excitement and anticipation for what was to come. From the moment the first model strolled around the rink we were delved into the 90’s based era of Mug-san’s origins and inspirations. Checkerboard and psychedelic black & white stripes made way for swirling florals with Hysteric Glamour x GVGV collaboration T-shirts and tops reading ‘For Yankee Girl, The Kids are Alright’. The casting was also impeccable with some of our favourite girls and boys doing the rounds, Rina Fukushi, Chiharu Okunugi, Safari and Kohei. When the show ended we were prepared for a moment of Roller Disco realness which alas, wasn’t to come. Maybe next season?
