そんな「岡本太郎」のコラージュ作品が「COMME des GARCONS」の公式サイトに掲載されているのは既にごご存知なはず（コチラ）。そう、ホリデーシーズンに向けてメンズ・ウィメンズのTシャツほか、バックやシューズ、チェア、ストールなどが展開される予定。題して「’HOLIDAY EXPLOSION’ COMME des GARÇONS x TARO OKAMOTO」。11月29日から3日間限定で販売。
Taro Okamoto (1911-1996) has long been one of my favorite Japanese artists – many will know him from his piece ‘Myth of Tomorrow’ that hangs in Shibuya Station. When I first moved to Japan I lived nearby his marvelous museum in Ikuta Park (a great afternoon trip out of Tokyo website here). This holiday season COMME des GARÇONS are teaming up with the late artist’s estate for a range of goods featuring Okamoto’s distinctive art. As illustrated in the images above, the line includes T-Shirts, wallets, totes bags, chairs and sneakers.
