新潟県・苗場スキー場で開催された「FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’18」、英国の老舗ブランド「Hunter Boots」と訪れた日本最大級のフェスティバル。気候の変化が激しいイギリス（ヨークシャー）と似ていて、フジロックの天気も雨が降ったり、昼夜の寒暖差も激しく変わる。生まれ育ったイギリス・ヨークシャーでは、父親がハンターのトールブーツを履いて農園に出掛けるシーンを今でも覚えている。（ダン）自分の記憶といえば、ケイト（・モス）がハンターのウェリィズ（長靴）を履いて、2005年のグラストンベリーに現れたこと。オリジナルアイコンとして知られるハンターのトールブーツに加え、レインコートやパッカブル フォン ポーチ、フェスティバルシーズンに欠かせないバックパック、突然の大雨にも対応可能なカラフルなポンチョで参戦。ロンドン旗艦店に次ぐ世界で2号店となる「ハンター銀座店」では、アパレルラインからフットウェア、アクセサリーなども豊富に取り揃えている。
When prepping for Fuji Rock 2018 we tapped Hunter Boots to outfit ourselves and our friends. Held up in the mountains of Niigata, the weather there is as changeable as it is in Yorkshire where I come from and growing up my Dad always had a pair of Hunter Boots. Joe’s memory is more recent with the likes of Kate Moss always donning a pair of the iconic ‘wellies’ (what the Japanese refer to as ‘rainy boots’) when attending glastonbury. Luckily boots aren’t all the British heritage brand now offers with a thoroughly contemporary line-up of outerwear and apparel. We headed up to the fest’ with Una & Matcha, Yesbowy & Mononana, Elli-Rose and Sara Mary – more used the city kitted out in the right gear they soon made themselves comfortable.
