十和田現代美術館でのキュレーション展『村上隆のスーパーフラット現代陶芸考』は、私のコレクションを基盤に展開する陶芸に対するアティテュードのオープニングのような展覧会。時期を同じくカイカイキキギャラリーでも、村上隆のキュレーションによる「陶芸・彫刻を考えるきっかけ」と題したグループ展企画が開催される。タイトルの通り、彫刻としての陶芸の可能性を探る興味深い展覧会。

「陶芸・彫刻を考える きっかけ：信楽に撒かれた種」展と題した本展では、奈良美智、大谷工作室、桑田卓郎、上田勇児と4名の作家たちが参加。

In 2017,Kaikai Kiki Gallery and Takashi Murakami are fully getting behind contemporary ceramics. As a starter, Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Consideration on Contemporary Ceramics, an exhibition curated by Murakami at the Towada Art Center in Aomori, is something of an opening into Murakami’s attitude toward ceramics explored based on his own collection. The group show will exhibit works by Yoshitomo Nara, Otani Workshop, Takuro Kuwata and Yuji Ueda. Preview the works and feel Murakami’s enthusiasm for the project through his instagram posts here.
