先週の水曜日（2012年5月23日）東京を皮切りにニュージーランド出身のファッション・デザイナー、カレン・ウォーカーのポップアップストア「CANDY BAR」が「RESTIR」にオープン。会場にはデザイナー、カレン・ウォーカーの姿はもちろん、彼女のアイウェアをこよなく愛すファンで溢れかえっていた。店内には、2012年春夏新作アイウェアがズラリ。キャンディーカラーで特徴的なデザインがセレブやファッションニスタの間で注目を集めている。この夏のアイウェアを早速ゲットするべし。
2週間限定で開催される今回のポップアップストアは、東京をスタート地点とし、各国の有名デパート/セレクトショップを巡るとのこと。
期間中は、2012年春夏新作アイウェア他、キャンディーカラーの限定サングラスやCANDY BAR記念Tシャツなども発売予定。

On Wednesday Night we attended the Karen Walker ‘CANDY BAR’ Opening at Restir in Roppongi.The range features sunglasses by New Zealand born designer Walker who has brought her fresh young aesthetic to a brilliant range of eye wear. The frames hit the mark as the perfect blend of vintage and modern elements. Following sold out collections world wide, customers are being offered 5 new limited edition pieces alongside all the eyewear from Karen Walker’s collection at the Karen Walker ‘Candy Bar’. The ‘pop-up’ shop is spending the next 12 months touring high-end select stores and Restir Tokyo is it’s first stop – great timing for Summer. The ‘Candy Bar’ also offers limited edition T-Shirts. Restir’s resident DJ sond tracked the night with her unit ‘The Furs’ as guests enjoyed the company of the designer herself (pictured above with Joe).
