「OPENING CEREMONY」のウンベルト・リオン（Humberto Leon）とキャロル・リム（Carol Lim）が「ケンゾー（KENZO）」のクリエイティブ・ディレクターに就任した2011年7月。あれから1年が経とうとしている今、KENZOの2012秋冬キャンペーンが公開された。
マイフェイバリット アーティスト、ジャン・ポール・グード（Jean-Paul Goude）。JPGと言えば、80年代のグレース・ジョーンズ（Grace Jones）との作品が頭に浮かぶのでは？そう、グレース・ジョーンズの全てのビジュアルを彼が手掛けていたのだから。フォトグラファー、イラストレーター、グラフィック・デザイナー、時には映像監督としても活躍するグード。そんなグードがKENZOのアートディレクションを担当。
KENZO has enjoyed a rise in popularity recently with the recruiting of Opening Ceremony’s Humberto Leon and Carol Lim as Creative Directors. For the Fall 2012 the pair take things to a whole new level by tapping legendary photographer Jean Paul Goude to photograph KENZO’s campaign. Starring Xiao Wen Ju and Simon Sabbah the image is fun and chic without being kitsch, it’s playful nature a perfect match for the colorful modern make-over Umberto and Lim have given the brand.
Jean Paul Goude is probably best known for his iconic work with Grace Jones in the late 70’s and 80’s (below). The video documentary below which came with the book, ‘So Far, So Goude’ is a must for anyone with an interest in the visual arts. More recently, Goude has worked with V Magazine, one stand out shot was the image he took of designer Marc Jacobs with Naomi Campbell (below).
