クリスチャン・ディオール（Christian Dior）の銀座店がグランドリニューアルオープン（2012年4月22日）すると同時に、2004年に誕生したディオール・オム（Dior Homme）の高精度・高品質のウォッチメイキング技術を融合したシフル ルージュから、リニューアル記念モデルが日本に登場（先行発売）。200本限定のこの新作モデルは、2012年3月にバーゼル・ワールドで発売されたばかりで、世界に先駆けディオール銀座店で発売されるとのこと。
また、ディオールのアイコンバックであるレディ ディオールのエキシビション “LADY DIOR AS SEEN BY” が4月22日より開催される。レディ ディオールが誕生したのは1995年、当時のファーストレディー、シクラ夫人がパリを訪れたダイアナ妃に送り、それを気に入ったダイアナ妃がどこにいくにも持ち歩くようになったことから、広く知られるようになったとか。

世界の各分野で活躍するアーティスト達のファッションフォト、アート作品、映像アートなど70点を越える作品が銀座の特別会場に集結。昨年中国を皮切りに始まった本展は、今回の東京での開催にあわせ宮永愛子、鬼頭健吾、東信、土井浩一郎ら日本人アーティストの作品が新たに加わるとのこと。

DIOR celebrates the re-newel opening of their flagship Ginza store this month with one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the season. ‘Lady Dior As Seen By’ presents interpretations of Dior’s iconic bag by 50 contemporary artists. The photographs, videos and sculptures include works by names such as Nan Goldin, Bruce Weber, Patrick Demarchlier, Paolo Roversi, Tim Walker, Jonas Akerlund and Ellen Von Unworth. This marriage of fashion and art has long been at the heart of the House of Dior and is the perfect way to celebrate re-opening of the 5 floor store. Fine Jewelry and watches as well as Dior Collections and Dior Homme will be spread throughout the 650 square metres which has been designed to reflect modern French elegance.
We have had an exclusive preview of both the store and the exhibition and collaborated on a shoot with Dior to showcase the Ginza flagship alongside some of the Spring 2012 Collection, these images will be posted on Tokyo Dandy in the coming days.
