3月28日の移転オープンを記念して昨夜「ミュウミュウ ナイト」が開催された。建築家ユニット、ヘルツォーク＆ド・ムーロンによって設計されたアイコニックなプラダ青山店同様ユニークな「ミュウミュウ」青山店のお披露目でスタート。2フロア構成の店内にはバック、ウェア、シューズ、アクセサリーとコレクションラインが揃っている。プラダ青山店の斜め向かいに建てられた「ミュウミュウ」青山店は、デパートよりも住宅に近い空間で外から見たら巨大ボックスのようなデザインで、店内をあえて覗くことのできない造りに。「ミュウミュウ」青山店を後に会場はベルサーレ渋谷ガーデン。パリで発表されたばかりの2015/16年秋冬コレクションが東京でもお披露目されたのだ。「ミュウミュウ」らしいカラーパレットにフレッシュなミュウミュウガールズたち。ショーの後は同会場にてアフターパーティーが行われ、音楽プロデューサー、ニコラス・ジャーをゲストに大盛り上がり。来日していたマーク・ロンソンやラフシモンズもミュウミュウナイトを楽しんでいた様子。
Miu Miu celebrated the opening of their new Tokyo location in grand style last night. The Herzog & de Meuron designed building is across the road from the iconic Prada building – a sliver of silver steel on Miyuki Street. The interior of the store radiates with a copper glow, bespoke art and furniture complimenting the architecture within. Miuccia Prada was present to greet guests including Mia Goth, Hailee Steinfeld and Zhang Ziyi at a small cocktail party before everyone headed to Shibuya’s Belle Salle event space for a re-run of Miu Miu’s Fall 2015 Collection. Herzog & de Meuron had transformed the interior of the vast space with elements of the store and a set that enhanced the 60’s pop vibe of the collection. After Miuccia Prada had taken her final bow, guests filed through into three cavernous rooms for the after party with music by Nicolas Jaar. Tokyoites rubbed shoulders with Mark Ronson and Raff Smmons, a jubilant spirit in the Spring air for the first big event in Tokyo this year.
