1743年の創業以来、祝福と賞賛のシンボルとしてあらゆる喜びの瞬間を創造してきた「モエ・エ・シャンドン」が、「MOËT PARTY DAY」と題した一夜限りのセレブレーションナイトを2016年6月11日に世界26ヵ国同時開催した。
トウキョウダンディは、香港のFASHION WALKに位置するモエ・モーメントにDJとして参戦。期間限定でオープンした香港ロケーションでは、バーラウンジはもちろん、氷を浮かべて完成する夏限定のアイス アンペリアル（シャンパン）の白を基調としたリゾートな空間を演出。キュウリやライム、マンゴーにフルーツと香りを添えたフォトジェニックなアンペリアル。会場には、シャンパンラバーはもちろん、ジーニー・チャン（陳瀅）、ヒラリー・チョイ（徐濠縈）などの女優やモデルたちをはじめ、ファッションニスタたちの来場で華やかな一夜となった（#MOETMOMENT）。
遡ること49年前。世界最大レースの1つ、仏ル・マン24時間耐久レースの優勝者が表彰式で歓喜のあまり手にしていたモエ・エ・シャンドンで喜びを表現したのが始まりで、その日が1976年6月11日だったそう。後にこれは「シャンパンファイト」と呼ばれ、スポーツの表彰式や祝福の場でおなじみのセレブレーションリチュアルになったのだ。「シャンパンファイト」誕生から50年目を迎える2016年、祝福と称賛のシンボルとしてあらゆる喜びの瞬間を創造してきたモエ・エ・シャンドンの世界観を思う存分体験する”#MOETMOMENT（モエな瞬間）”な貴重な1日となった。
Tokyo Dandy joined Moet in Hong Kong this past weekend as part of the iconic champagnes #MoetPartyDay. The global event saw celebrations in cities across the world ‘celebrate the now’. On Friday night we took to the turntables to DJ at a purpose built space on Hong Kong’s Fashion Walk. Built like a 2 deck boat, the cool modern interior was the perfect backdrop for the Moet Imperial being served on the rocks with the addition of lemon, lime or cucumber to taste – the perfect drink for the humid Hong Kong night and Summer to come. Joe jumped into the jacuzzi with Hilary Tsui before chilling out in the fridge upstairs before our Dj set.
The next night, June 11th, was the the official #MoetPartyDay celebrated globally. We joined the team at Hong Kong’s Dragon-i nightclub for a few rounds of bowling, settling down with mini-moet bottles after a comfortable win, many more #Moetmoments to come.
