2011/12年秋冬パリ・メンズ・コレクションが幕を閉じ、24日より2011年春夏パリオートクチュール・コレクションがスタートした今日この頃。ミラノではパッとしない雲行きが。そう … あちらこちらで、スパイスの聞いたコメントが飛び交っているではないか。理由はともかく。「確かに」「うんうん」と同感してしまうようなコメントばかり。何がどうなっているのか。メディア、バイヤー、プレス、エディターの心を揺るがすブランドが無さすぎたのだろう。それはさておき、パリコレに参加した複数のブランドをピックアップ。
No sooner had Milan ended then the Paris Menswear collections had begun. As an arm chair observer of the fashion weeks it was apparent that Milan lacked buzz this season, friends who were there talked of the bad weather and EVERYONE tells me how ugly Milan is, but the collections themselves failed to inspire so much. The first day of Paris had Thierry Mugler and the buzz continued from there through a week of stellar collections from the big fashion houses. We take a look at some of our favorites.
まず、LA出身のリック・オウエンス（Rick Owens）による2011/12年秋冬メンズ・コレクション。毎シーズン モノトーンで、さほど変化のないリックだが、素材感や新たに登場するパターンでファンを魅了する。リックの世界観に仲間入りする新しいデザインたち。今回一番釘付けになったのは、やはり、新たに登場したスカートだった。レザーの光沢感に、Aラインを醸し出すあの広がり。アウターにも同素材を使用したレザー祭り。宗教的な演出はいうまでもなく、メタルや細かいディテールにも注目を。
Rick Owens is an artist in the sense he repeats and alters his aesthetic season after season which has developed a look which is instantly recognizable. The big boots, the rich leathers contrasted with fabrics and cuts ranging from tight fitting tops to skirts over pants all in dark grays and blacks all means Owens stays on form for A/W 2011. to be fair, I would love to see him suprise everyone and do a collection in blood red.
続いて、「A man has elegance」をテーマに得意のテーラリングを見せつけたジョン ローレンス サリバン（John Lawrence Sullivan）。チェックで始まったサリバンのコレクションでは、とても上品な印象が伺えた。どこか、ハイスクールキッズにも見えるモデルたちは、エレガントな雰囲気も醸し出している。さらに、異なったチェック柄を上下でスタイリング。袖部分に付いたスタッズアクセがアクセントに。やはり、サリバンといったら、上品にラインがでるセットアップのスーツ スタイル？個人的には、ベロアのジャケットがお気に入り。あのラペルのかたちはたまりません。そして、素材一つで色の出方や見え方が変わる秋冬シーズン。春夏に比べるとバリエーションはもちろん、素材で物を言うような気がする。見よ奇麗に出たこのブルー。
Japanese boy wonder Arashi Yanagawa designs JOHN LAWERENCE SULLIVAN, a brand we were sad to see leave the Japan fashion schedule but are happy to see has fit right into it’s new home on the Paris runway. Great tailoring with some wide sleeves and plentiful use of plaid means boys aren’t short on color option for the darker months. The title for John Lawerence Sullivan A/W 201112 was “A man has elegance”, indeed he does.
毎シーズン見所満載なジョン・ガリアーノ（John Galliano）。海賊とホームレスをミックスしたかのようなコレクション。雪の演出で寒々しさが伝わる彼のショーは、前半ニットにカーディガン、マフラーと全ての冬アイテムを重ねてのスタイリング。
It seems John Galliano continues to be inspired by Pirates and the Homeless. For F/W ’11 they get a bit of an Asian influence with the layered belted jackets and cuts, some rich furs bring back the decadence to the designers dystopian vision for next Winter.
日本を代表するファッション・デザイナー、川久保玲によるコム・デ・ギャルソン（Comme des Garçons）の2011/12年秋冬メンズ・コレクション。まず頭に浮かんだのは中国だった。チャイナドレスでありそうな素材感に柄。踝まであるロングスカートに、ニッカポッカのようなボトムス。と思えば、ダメージ加工されたロック調のTシャツ。
Designers and brands are visiting China to extend their businesses, it would seem that for F/W 2011\12 Kawakubo Rei has visited China for inspiration. Comme des Garçons features Chinese cuts and fabrics worn over T-Shirts and the ubiquotous drop crotch pants. As is usually the case with Comme des Garçons collections, it’s difficult to read on the runway you have to go to the store and see the pieces individually.
デザイン業だけでなく、音楽や映像とアートワークなども手掛けるデンマーク出身のマルチデザイナー、ヘンリック ヴィブスコブ（Henrik Vibskov）。これまで彼のコレクションはカラフルでグラフィカルなイメージが強かったのに対し、ゆったりとしたサイズ感のコートにパーツごとに色の違うレギンス。そして、望遠鏡をのぞいてるかのような小振りなサングラス。がインパクト大。
Clothes are just one part of the talented Henrik Vibskov‘s Design work. The Danish ‘Multi-Designer’ is a St Martins graduate a passionate musician. He has created a spacious collection for F/F ’11/’12, the patterned leggings are great and the stylist has created a great effect with the telescope like glasses. This was more Theatrical than the usual Parisian fashion show, we’ll bring you a video soon.
元々シューズブランドとしてスタートしたミハラヤスヒロ（MIHARA YASUHIRO）が、99年よりウェアラインを東京で発表し、現在は活動の場をパリへと移した日本人デザイナー。白と黒をベースにアシメトリーなトップスが出てきたり、白で縁取られたショート丈のジャケット。個人的に目がいったのは、ツイードのような素材感のセットアップ。
Another Japanese designer doing well in Paris, Mihara Yasuhiro presented his A/W collection which ranged from school boy chic to junior Sherlock Holmes in tweeds, all the time having fun with asymmetric cuts.
そして、発表の場をパリに移したマイフェイバリットデザイナー、3.1 フィリップ・リム（3.1 Phillip Lim）。上品な素材感はもちろん、かたち、シルエットがとても良いフィリップ・リム。
Philip Lim presented his 3.1 collection in Paris and to be honest I think it kind of fades in comparison to the rest of the other collections. The quality here is in the fabric, cut and comfort of the clothes.
クリス・ヴァン・アッシュ（Kris Van Assche）によるディール・オム（Dior Homme）の2011/12年秋冬メンズ・コレクション。こちらは、ここ数年、微妙な変化しかないような気がする。”クリスらしい” というか。それ以上の驚きは一切無いにも関わらず、新たに登場した赤の色で観てる側の印象が少し変わったり。フロントローにはP・ディディ（P. Diddy）の姿があったとか。
Dior Homme under Kris Van Assche has become increasingly poetic, capey, drapey, not topped off with a wide brimmed hat, one of the trends that has emerged during the F/W ’11/12 collection shows. Dior did well in the front row stakes, Karl Lagerfeld and P-Diddy both taking their seats to see the show.
見方を変えると日本のギャル男ルックにも見えるアン・ドゥムルメステール（Ann Demeulemeester）。黒髪のウィッグを頭に、完全防備なアンのクリエーション。ラペルの下部に切り込みが入った繊細なデザイン。裏地にムートンを使用したライダースジャケット。
If Galliano is dressing Pirates then Ann Demeulemeester is dressing Muskateers with a stream-lined cut, lots of short length jackets and leather gloves. Color made a welcome appearance here for Demeulemeester who usually works with a monochrome palate.
奇麗なパープルカラーが登場し、最高のショーを見せつけたラフ・シモンズ（Raf Simons）だが、終了の危機という噂が。生産中止 … という残念なニュースが飛び交ってるではないか。理由としては、製造パートナーとの関係が解除されたことが理由とか。ということで、ラフ・シモンズに関しては、この変で … 良い方向にいくことを願う！
Basically, there’s shit going down with Raf Simons in Japan, some issues with the licensed distributor or something, this seasons clothes not make it here, hope they sort it out. This kind of thing seems ot happen all too often in Japan, it’s so tough doing business here but the rewards are great for those who succeed. Anyway, RAF SIMONS is also using color, some beautiful purples in a more casual collection.
こちらも着てみたい！と思わせるピースが沢山あったルカ・オッセンドライバー（Lucas Ossendrijver）とアルベール・エルバス（Alber Elbaz）によるランバン（Lanvin）2011/12年秋冬メンズ・コレクション。やはり彼らの作りあげるクリエーションはドンピシャ。上品なコートのカラーを切りっぱなしにしてみたり、ボリューミーな大振りのハット。ダーツ部にステッチを入れてみたり。小細工効いてて惚れ惚れ。そして、グラフィカルなセットアップ。
One of my favorites, the hats are perfect, these are clothes for Modern Poets, it’s beautiful in its simplicity menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver makes a fantastic team together with Lanvin Creative director Alber Elbaz.
チェックのオンパレードを見せつけたトム・ブラウン（Thom Browne）のショーでは、これまでのトムの色に貴族のテイストを取り入れたようだ。スタイリングに合わせた異なる帽子たち。謎のジャケット。袖のないロングコート。と思えば、モヘアのような素材感のオールインワン的ワンピース。これぞファッション！
Thom Browne has taken some of the seasons current trends – red, plaid, interesting hats, skirts and vintage aviators and mastered a superb collection which feels part Futuristic Aristocratic Hunter and part young royal aviator.
