フランスの現代美術ギャラリー「PERROTIN TOKYO（ペロタン東京）」が、香港、ニューヨーク、ソウルに続き、ここ東京にオープンしてから5ヶ月。
ファンション、音楽、アートにインテリア、アーティストのマウリツッオ・カテランと、写真家のピエールパオロ・フェラーリが手掛ける「TOILETPAPER」。人物や動物、食べ物や植物と様々なアイデアをコラージュしてみたり、強烈なビジュアルを世に送り出す2人組のアートデュオ。そんな「TOILETPAPER」の日本初公開となる個展が11月22日より開催されている。
オープンを祝して開催されたアフターパーティーでは、バーレスクダンサーのミスキャバレッタや紗羅マリーがヴォーカルを務めるMary & The Flying Bowties、1本のギターで奏でるSHOKOなど、才能あふれる音楽ラヴァーたちが会場を盛り上げていた。

An exhibition of the work of TOILET PAPER, the creative effort of contemporary artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari, has just opened at Perrotin Gallery Tokyo. The irreverent and whimsical work was celebrated with an equally fun party last night at Just Another Space in Naka Meguro. A mix of Dj’s and performers, kicking off with Miss Carbaretta and finishing with Sara Mary’s band Mary & the flying bow ties with YO.AN, Shoko, Wrong Holes, Elli Arakawa and Chris in between. Artists Madsaki and Mr. represented the local talent on a night which brought together an eclectic and fun crowd.
