プリンスの訃報を受け”劇場最高音響”にて緊急追悼上映会が開催される。
世界的ミュージシャン「プリンス」が、4月21日にこの世を去ってしまった。ボウイに続き、プリンスまでも早くしてこの世を去ってしまった。彼ほどユニークで才能豊かなアーティストはほかにいただろうか。悲しすぎる。
The world has been left shocked and saddened by the passing of Prince last week. Famously strict about the usage of his music and videos on the internet, an opportunity to pay tribute to the Purple One is to be given by the re-showing of ‘Sign ‘O’ the Times’ at Shibuya Humax Cinema.
訃報を受け世界中のミュージシャンやアーティスト、異なるジャンルのかたたちが哀悼の意を表し声を上げている。日本からもミュージシャンははもちろん、プリンスのファンらが一様に悲しみに沈みかえっている。2009年のマイケル・ジャクソン、3ヶ月前のデヴィッド・ボウイと伝説的スターを世界は失ってしまった。

1989年日本初公開、2014年にリバイバル上映された1987年製作のプリンス自身が監督を務めたライブフィルム最高傑作「プリンス – サイン・オブ・ザ・タイムズ」が、渋谷HUMAXシネマ にて4月30日より緊急追悼上映が決定した。
Based around the ‘Sign ‘O’ the Times’ live performance, the film was directed by Prince in 1987 and 80% of the footage comes from having staged the show for a special performance at Paisley Park Studios, the legendary Minnesota estate where Prince was pronounced dead last week. A remastered version of the film opened in Tokyo 2014 and it’s that version which will be shown as a tribute to Prince every night from April 30th – May 7th at 20.40.
