ニューヨークを舞台にステイタスを確立した2人のフランス人写真家（Sophie DELAPORTE, Jean-Michel BERTS）と、ロンドンから帰国し、東京でキャリアを築きつつある日本人写真家（ハスイモトヒコ）による3人展が本日よりスタート。時代の欲望を映し出す鏡”ファッション”、その場所が持つ潜在的な意志や力を抽出する”ランドスケープ”、このふたつのジャンルの写真表現を俯瞰することは、都市のアイデンティティーを検証する作業に近似しています。写真による21世紀的都市論、カラー作品のファッションとモノクロのランドスケープでふたつの都市のスタイルを浮き彫りにする。

This exhibition takes in fashion photography and landscapes through the work of Sophie Delaporte and Jean Michel-Berts, two French photographers living in New York and a Japanese photographer, Motohiko Hasui, who is living in Tokyo after studying in London. The fashion photographs are presented in color and are meant to represent the desire of todays society whereas the landscape photos are in black and white to express the power of place. It looks really interesting, we just don’t understand why it’s all the way out on Odaiba island.
