渋谷にあるライブハウス チェルシー・ホテルで毎回開催される「Teenage Kicks」と題された10代の子が集まる唯一のパーティーが幕を閉じてしまった。DJ陣には「DEATH IS NOT MY AIM」や「SEX」らも毎回登場し、その中の1人がそのオーガナイザーであった。（from DEATH IS NOT MY AIM）ジャパニーズ パンク ロックな雰囲気が漂うチェルシー ホテルのバックステージでは、出演者同士の戯れや、過去に出演したアーティストたちの落書きがあったりと、思い出ポロポロなひとときが過ごせた。今後何らかのかたちでカムバックするのを待つべし。
A week or so ago after we left Kita-Kore night in Trump Room (photos HERE), we dropped by Teenage Kicks which was also on in Shibuya. ‘Teenage Kicks’ was, for the past few years, one of the main parties of Tokyo’s underground-electro club scene. Organized by DJ unit ‘DEATH IS NOT MY AIM’ you could always rely on their nights at Chelsea Hotel to be just that little bit darker, dirtier and rowdier than parties else where. Backstage at Chelsea Hotel the wall is covered with the inked on names of punk and rock bands I used to hang out with there years ago. That was the last ‘Teenage Kicks’. Hopefully it won[t be the last time we see ‘Death is Not my Aim’, rocking out behind the decks in their executioners masks.
