昨日（2011年1月5日）「MARC JACOBS AOYAMA」にて開催されたロバート・ダフィー（Robert Duffy）によるサイン会に、カクテルパーティ。午前10時より開催されたサイン会には、沢山の人々が訪れ、「ROBERT DUFFY & BRIAN BOWEN SMITH」のサイン入りBOOKを手にしたはず。さらに、7時半過ぎには、シャンパンを片手にロバートとの雑談が始まった。訪れたモデルに俳優らとの記念撮影はもちろん、2月にリリースされるBOOKについて語るロバート。会場には、ファッションニスタの姿はもちろん、雑誌関係者、メディアと店内は混雑していた。なかには、ソフトバンクのCMでお馴染み、ダンテ・カーヴァー（Dante Carver）に、日本のAV女優として活躍する明日花キララ。モデルの宮坂絵美里。この日のためだけに訪れたモデルのアンドレイ・ペジック（Andrej Pejic）。そして、今もっとも人気の国民的俳優、向井理（Osamu Mukai）の登場に会場はパニック状態。なんだかとても良い新年の始まりだった気が。
パーティも無事終了し、「MARC JACOBS AOYAMA」を後に向かったのは、MARC JACOBS TEAMとのディナーだった。（お誘いありがと。）さらに、ディナーを後に向かった先は、麻布十番にある古き良きバー。マーク＆ロバートが過去に訪れたことのある行きつけのバーとか。店内は、ブラックミュージークオンリーのジュークボックスがあり、壁全面に数十年前のレコードたちがコラージュされていたのだ。それはさておき、2月に行われるニューヨーク・コレクションが楽しみすぎる。

Last night Marc Jacobs company president Robert Duffy was in Tokyo to preview ‘The Men and Women of Marc Jacobs’, a photo essay book by photographer Brian Bowen Smith that profiles the family of employees that make up Marc Jacobs. Joining Robert were Brian, Reece and Micah, all photographed above and appearing in the book alongside Marc Jacobs Japan family member Marni-san. The photographer himself couldn’t be in attendance due to a passport fuck up, but Robert signed books for guests who included Miss Universe Japan Emiri Miyasaka, Softbank CM star Dante Carver (without his dog dad), and the lovely AV superstar Kirara Asuka who looked fantastic in a Marc Jacobs collection coat (pictured above making a peace sign with Robert). Our favorite model Andrej Pejic was in town on his way to Paris for the collection season, he’s the face of Marc by Marc Jacob’s S/S 2011 collection and it was great to catch up with him again after meeting for the first time last year, can’t wait to see him in the shows. As we got ready to leave actor Osamu Mukai arrived, fresh from the set of a TV drama he’s currently filming.
We were invited to dinner at Beacon after the event and from there we had a great time drinking until the early hours at a bar in Azabu Juban that Robert and Marc have been going to for years (not going to post photos here but there’s some on the Marc Jacobs International and Tokyo Dandy Twitter pages). Lot’s of entertaining stories were told but we don’t drink and tell. It was great getting to know the Marc Jacobs family and we look forward to seeing them in New York.
