「リック・オウエンス（Rick Owens）」がブランド20周年を記念して「THE WORL OF RICK OWENS」 と名付けたエキシビションをロンドンのデパート「セルフリッジ（Selfridges）」にて開催。
9月1日より開催されている「THE WORLD OF RICK OWENS」は、限定コレクションほか、1階にあるコンセプトストアのキュレーション、リック・オウエンスのメンズの新しいショップインショップ、ウィメンズのアクセサリーコーナーと、メインショーウィンドウにてリックがデザインしたインスタレーションを展開。また、オックスフォード・ストリートに面したファサードの頭上ににある1928Queen of timeの彫刻の側には、特別にリック・オウエンス自身をモチーフにした彫刻が登場。ダグ・ジェニングスによって製作されたこの彫刻は、スチールやコーティングを施したポリスチレン、24キロメートルにも及ぶ黒い布製の髪等で構成され、総重量150キロと20人がかり12週間かけて作り上げたもの。ロンドンにいる方は是非足を運んでみるべし。
Selfridges Department Store in London is devoting 4 of its windows as well as a large amount of retial space for ‘THE WORLD OF RICK OWENS’, a celebration of the Designers 20 years in fashion. The installation, up until October 24th, brings together clothing, furniture, tableware, design pieces, albums, and books for complete insight and immersion in to the ‘WORLD OF RICK OWENS’. AN exclusive 20 piece capsule collection, some photos of which are below, has been created exclusively for the venture.
