2006年に設立されたイギリス媒体「Business of Fashion（ビジネス・オブ・ファッション）」より2014年度の「The People Shaping the Global Fashion Industry（世界のファッション業界を形成する人たち）」トップ500が、9月22日に発表された。
既に業界人の間では話題に！昨年よりスタートして今年で2度目のBoF500。アナ・ウィンターにケイト・モス、リカルド・ティッシュ、デヴィッド・ベッカム、カニエ・ウエスト、オルセン姉妹と、ファッション誌編集長にセレブリティ、モデル、デザイナー、アーティスト、経営者と多方面で活躍する著名人ばかりのリストに…日本からはコムデギャルソン デザイナー、アンダーカヴァー デザイナー、三越伊勢丹ホールディングス社長、VOGUE JAPAN編集長と計15名が選ばれ…その中の1組がなんと「TOKYODANDY」なのです。光栄すぎます！ファッションビジネスに携わる業界人向け記事や、ファッション業界のビジネスとクリエイティブ面の幅広いコンテンツを紹介するBoF。これを機に、日本（東京）で起こっていることや、TOKYODANDYが思う影響力のあるインフルエンサーたち！コンテンツを記事として作成しようと思う。（全リストはこちら！）
THE BUSINESS OF FASHION (aka BOF) has established itself as the leading digital outlet of fashion related business news and insight, it’s independent editorial outlook has been a stand out voice in the vast web of digital media. Last year the website inaugurated the BOF 500, a list of the top global figures influencing the fashion world. In it’s second edition, BOF named Tokyo Dandy amongst 15 distinguished names hailing from Japan to make the list. It’s an honor to be included with such established names and encouraging that our bilingual efforts to convey some of what’s going on in Tokyo to a global audience has reached people. Thanks to BOF for the raised platform this has given us, we hope to produce content to further reflect what’s happening here in Japan. A print edition of The BOF 500, covered by Karl Lagerfeld, should reach these shores soon.
