国際的な写真フェアとして2009年よりはじまった「東京フォト」が今年で早くも4回目を迎える。東京ミッドタウンホールを会場にニューヨーク、パリ、ロンドン、ベルリン、アムステルダム、北京と世界10都市のトップギャラリーが集結するほか、約1000点以上もの作品を展示＆販売を行う。「見るだけ」の静かなアート鑑賞とは異なり、見本市であるアートフフェアの醍醐味は、「作品の購入」と世界から集まる「コレクターやギャラリスト、アーティストとの交流」。
個人的にはイネス・ヴァン・ラムスウィールド＆ヴィノード・マタディンやシャルル・ジョルダンの写真展が楽しみすぎる。

Launched in September 2009 as Japan’s first international art fair dedicated to Photography, Tokyo Photo has quickly established itself as the largest cultural event of its kind in Asia. Returning to Roppongi Midtown later this month the fair will feature the strongest line-up of galleries yet with 35 participants from Tokyo, Osaka, Beijing, Shanghai, New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam.
