数々の賞を受賞した元グッチのクリエイティブデザイナーで、自らのブランドを立ち上げた トム・フォード（TOM FORD）が初の監督を勤める映画 「シングル・マン“A Single Man”」 に、コリン・ファース（Colin Firth）、ジュリアン・ムーア（Julianne Moore）、マシュー・グード（Matthew Goode）らが出演決定。
トム・フォードは、グッチを退社するまでの10年間で、10倍以上もの売り上げを作り上げたダンディーなハンサム ガイだ。
これは、1964年に発表されたクリストファー・イシャーウッド（Christopher Isherwood）の小説 “A Single Man” で、同性愛のパートナーを突然失った英国人男性教授がロサンゼルスでの一日を描いた内容になっている。
きっとフォードは自分と共通する内容だけに、このプロジェクトを楽しみリアルな形で仕上げてくれるだろう。
This week Tom Ford began his Hollywood career. The former head of Gucci is directing the 1960’s set “A Single Man”, adapted from a Charles Isherwood novel. Starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore, the movie tells the story of a University professor who loses his long-term partner. It’s expected to be released some time next year.
It’s an emotional text to deal with and with Ford’s track record we are sure the piece will also be visually stunning.
