2011年春夏シーズンより立ち上がった「Vargas（ヴァーカス）」という名のアクセサリーブランド。2011年春夏では、スウェードのフリンジと、スタッズのコンビネーションなどが登場したほか（HERE）、秋冬では「BONDAGE METAL」と名付け、ゴシック調のイメージをベースに “HEXAGRAM”、”BODYBELT” をパステルカラーに落とし込んでいる。そんな「Vargas」の2011年秋冬インスタレーションが、7月30日より2日間にわたって原宿のCANNABISで開催される。

BRAND CONCEPT / GIRL OF MY DREAMS 女性ながらの40年代〜80年代のカルチャーにインスパイヤーされアクセサリーに落とし込み自身のIDENTITYを表現。

The Vargas brand debuted in Spring this year and the trademark overs-sized cherry earrings were seen on all te cool girls about Tokyo town. Designer Rie Shiraisi brings te AW collection to CANNABIS on harajuku’s cat street for a pop-up shop this weekend (Saturday 30th – Sunday 31st). Inspired by vintage pieces, the pastel colored accessories follow the brand concept ‘GIRL OF MY DREAMS’ but take a gothic turn for AW ’11 wit pieces such as “BONDAGE METAL”, “HEXAGRAM” and “BODYBELT”. Brand muse Nakao returns for the collection photos below wit look-a-like Nara yuya. I love some of the other photos Shiraisi and Nakao have created on their blog ‘SUGAR GUIRRELLA’
