スウェーデン発ファッションブランド「WEEKDAY（ウィークデイ）」が、待望のアジア初となる1号店を6月1日（土）大阪・心斎橋にオープンすると発表。2000年に誕生した「WEEKDAY」は、ヨーロッパの6ヵ国で、マルチブランドをコンセプトに複数のブランドに加え、他ヴィンテージやコラボレーションラインとターゲットやコンセプトが異なるブランドを揃えている。オープンに先駆け4月5日に開催されたプレゼンテーション・カクテルパーティーでは、「WEEKDAY」同様、H&M傘下「MONKI」や「CHEAP MONDAY」などを展示し、ウィークデイファミリーがお出迎え。会場では、雑誌関係者にメディア陣、モデルとウィークデイの世界観を堪能。
2013年6月1日オープンの大阪・心斎橋店は、ベルリンを拠点に活躍するデュオの建築家、ピエール・ホルヘ・コンザレス（Pierre Jorge Gonzalez）、ジュディス・ハース（Judith Haase）によってデザインされ、機能性に重点を置いた現代的ストアが誕生するとのこと。

Last we Dj’d at a reception party for Swedish brand WEEKDAY which joins Cheap Monday and Monki at part of the H&M group family. The occasion was to celebrate the upcoming opening of the brand’s first Asian store in Osaka coming June 1st this year. WEEKDAY brings together an array of exclusive collaborations and special store made pieces alongside their own seasonal collections to ensure both variety and a unique element in store. We were won over by the items on display at the presentation party, particularly the light denim set-up Joe’s wearing which is from the PRAIRIE for WEEKDAY collection by Matthew Ames. We’re looking forward to the store opening in Osaka and hopefully, later on in Tokyo.
