日本が舞台となったウェス・アンダーソン監督の新作映画「犬ヶ島」の予告版が公開された。失踪した愛犬を探す少年アタリの壮大な冒険を描く全編ストップモーションアニメのアニメーション・アドベンチャー。架空都市”メガ崎市”を舞台に、犬の数が増え続け、伝染が広まってしまったことで、小林市長が犬を”ゴミ島”に追いやる緊急措置を取るところから幕が開け、ブライアン・クランストン、ビル・マーレイ、エドワード・ノートン、スカーレット・ヨハンソン、そして、オノ・ヨーコ、夏木マリ、野村訓市といった豪華俳優陣が集結（2018年春以降公開予定）。
Wes Anderson’s next film ‘The Island of Dogs’ is an animated adventure set in Japan. Set in a dystopian future, the story follows the quest of a young boy who sets out in search of his pet dog on an island of trash all dogs have been exiled to following an out-break of ‘canine-flu’. Featuring the voices of Scarlett Johansson, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Harvey Keitel, Tilda Swinton and Yoko Ono, ‘Island of Dogs’ will be released in Spring 2018. Just from the clip we can sense Anderson’s stated inspiration as being the films of legendary director, Akira Kurosawa.
